I.C.M. Mental Health/Law Enforcement Specialists

The I.C.M.'s (Intensive Case Managers) at the Augusta Police Department specialize in dealing with members of the community who suffer from Mental Illness. It is often that the police get called to a complaint, and upon arrival learn that there are underlying mental health concerns with the individuals involved. The I.C.M.s can then be called in to provide a mental status assessment, or provide resources and/or referrals to individuals suffering from mental health issues, domestic violence, sexual assault, and many other community problems that may or may not involve mental illness.
