The Augusta Police Department Criminal Investigation Division consists of two separate sections: Criminal Investigations and DARE/Juvenile Officer. Lt. Keith Brann is in charge of this division and he oversees the four full-time detectives and one civilian in the clerical staff. C.I.D. is responsible for the investigation of any and all major crimes occurring within the City and to assist other agencies and departments in their investigations when they involve information or leads developing within the city.
